Applying GoDry® is simple and highly effective. It consists of three steps: cleaning your garment, applying the water-repellent agent, and activating the water repellency. Follow the guide below to get the best performance out of your outdoor and sportswear.
Water repellency starts with proper preparation. Your fabric must be completely free from dirt, oils, old detergent and other contaminants. But, any detergent residuals left on the surface can interfere with how well the water-repellent agent bonds.
That’s why we developed GoDry® Tech Detergent: a powerful, residue-free detergent specially formulated to thoroughly clean technical fabrics without leaving behind anything that could reduce performance.
How to use GoDry® Tech Detergent:
Clean the detergent drawer of your washing machine and remove all remaining soap residue. Place up to two garments in the washer. Add 100 ml of GoDry® Tech Detergent in areas with soft water, or 150 ml in areas with hard water. Do not add fabric softener. Wash according to the care instructions on your garment. Once washed, your fabric is perfectly prepared to receive the GoDry® Spray-on treatment.
How to use GoDry® Spray-On:
Spray GoDry® evenly onto the clean garment, whether it's dry or still damp, until the fabric is fully saturated. If you frequently carry a backpack or experience heavy wear on certain areas (like shoulders or elbows), apply a little extra product there. Let the spray absorb for about one minute, then wipe away any remaining excess with a clean cloth.
How to activate the GoDry Spray-on:
Choose the method that best suits your garment. For durable fabrics place the garment in the tumble dryer and dry it completely. For delicate fabrics first, let the garment air-dry completely. Once dry, tumble dry for 30 minutes to activate the effect. Alternatively you can activate GoDry® by ironing. Apply heat to each area for at least 20 seconds. You can also combine ironing and tumble drying for an extra performance boost.
GoDry® only bonds to the outer surface of the garment, creating a highly effective water-repellent barrier while leaving the inside fully breathable and wicking. That means you stay dry from the outside and comfortable from the inside.
